Government Degree College Ganai Gangoli is situated in the tehsil headquarter of Ganai Gangoli. The hinterland of this college is situated in Gangawali region constituted between two main rivers vis a vis Sarju. This college is nearly 110 km away from Pithoragarh headquarter and nearly 80 km from Almora District headquarter. The college has been established in a rural area and surrounded by approx 40 villages. There are 8 inter colleges around it in its vast catchment area and this is the only higher educational institution for them in this area, especially for girl student.
