The Governor of J&K and General KV Krishna Rao opened the Government College of Engineering and Technology (GCET) in Jammu in 1994. GCET Jammu is associated with the University of Jammu. A Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Computer Sciences, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Civil Engineering, and Electrical Engineering is offered by the Government College of Engineering and Technology – [GCET] Jammu, along with an M.Tech in a number of specializations. Through JKBOPEE, admission to GCET Jammu is available.
