Government Degree College Chaukhutia, Almora Uttarakhand is located At village Digot 2 Km. away from Chaukhutiya Town (Almora) was established in 10^th August, 2001 by the Uttarakhand Govt. It is a Co-Educational Institution and is affiliated to Kumaun University, Nainital. The College was started with the main objective to impart quality education to the students of the area up to Post Graduate (PG) Level. The College in all offers Under Graduate (UG) Programmes,Though starting under hard circumstances the institution is now one of the premier institutions of higher education in the region. Since then it is engaged in rendering its services to provide higher education and making an endeavor for human resource development in an otherwise economically and Educationally backward region of Uttarakhand.
