The Sita Devi Memorial Institute of Education, Hardwar was established in 2005. It is affiliated by Hemawati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University and is self-financed college. The college offers Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) course. The college has been recognized by National Council for Teachers Education (NCTE).

The college has well furnished and modern facilities. The aim of expansion and promotion of education to provide job oriented & professional education and provide teacher education to one and all irrespective of age/sex/caste/religion.
